 Dear University
              of Utah,
In conjunction with the international animal rights event "World
Week for Animals In Laboratories (WWAIL)", I am planning a
demonstration outside the Animal Resource Center (ARC) this Saturday,
April 17th. As far as I can tell from the University of Utah policies
and procedures manual sections relating to speech activities on
campus, I do not need to obtain a permit for this event (see http://www.admin.utah.edu/ppmanual/8/8-9.html).
However, I still feel I should notify you that I will be there and
I plan this to be a peaceful activity of expression of speech. We
will be there from Noon until about 2 or 3 pm. I expect between
10 and 20 people to show up.

If you would like, I can carbon copy you the press release that
I am planning on sending out that morning (or the night before).
I will also notify you of all press that I have been in contact
with so you too can explain your side of the position. Through this
public demonstration, I am hoping there will be a peaceful increase
of dialogue and discussion relating to animal experimentation on
              campus.

I was not sure who to email, so this email is being sent to the
director of the Animal Resource Center (Jack Taylor) and Phyllis
Vetter of the U of U General Counsel. If there is someone else you
would like me to notify of demonstrations in the future, please
              let me know.

If you have any questions, please get in touch with me either through
              email or phone.

 Thanks,

 Jeremy Beckham
