Alamogordo Primate Facility Few details are currently available regarding the death of Chimpanzee known as #1303. PFP has FOIAed additional information and will be posted here when received. The footnote that references the death of #1303 says he, "was a 21 year-old male and was found dead. Necropys showed an enlarged heart and the cause of death is cardiac failure due to hypertrophic cardiomyopathy". Please remember Chimpanzee #1303 and honor him and his cage mates at APF by writing to your elected officials. The primates cannot open the cage doors themselves. They are looking to you for help.
