Resources to help you help the primates...

Contacting you...Primate Freedom Project wants to keep in touch with you. Please take a few minutes and fill in our form so the primates don't lose their most valuable asset....YOU!

Contacting the Centers...get addresses, sample letters and other helpful information

Having trouble getting your primate's documents? You're not alone. Research facilities fear the public spotlight and many times refuse to share any information. Read Erica's effort to get the truth from UCLA.
Vivisection A to Z... Interested in what's going on behind closed laboratory doors at the Wisconsin National Primate Research Center? Vivisection A to Z reviews experiments of each vivisector at WNPRC and what the primate experiences. Group meets the second Tuesday of each month, 7:00pm at Memorial Union. Room assignments vary so please check www.union.wisc.edu/TITU/mutitu.htm Free and open to the public.

Congressional Educator...Do you want your elected officials to know what's important to you and how you can inform them about issues important to primates? If so, you'll want to become a Congressional Educator. Please click on the link to find out more.

  • Past issues of the Congressional Educator can be viewed here.
  • Members of the US Congress and Senate respond to Congressional Educator writers. Read their responses.
Primate Research Moratorium...Groups around the world are joining together and adding their names to the list asking for an immediate moratorium on primate research with a Presidential advisory committee appointed to study this problem. Read about the moratorium and how you can get involved and see other organizations that have already said 'Yes!' to stopping this outrage.

Essays...Comments and opinions on specific researchers and their experiments, cruelty and more. Spend some time here.

Suggested Readings...Variety of reading materials to give a complete view of animal experiments. This list is a good beginning.

PowerPoint Presentations...to view these you'll need to download the free PowerPoint Viewer if you don't already have it installed. If you have PowerPoint slides or presentations you'd like to donate to Primate Freedom Project, please let us know so we can share with others who want to help educate the public about primates. Pick a slide show.

Lifetime Sanctuary...Unfortunately, chimpanzees can still be recalled to the laboratories if a 'need' is proven. This 'sanctuary' is named Chimp Haven and is federally funded. Here's the contract.
